Damaged Goods Clothing was created in April 2021 around a simple belief: everyone and everything is damaged in some shape or form. In a world that prioritizes perfection, we choose to highlight the beauty in those imperfections.

I have always admired people who are open about their flaws. Our insecurities and struggles are what connect us, not what separate us. Damaged Goods exists to Find Beauty in the Damage, translating that idea into bold, imperfect designs meant to be worn with pride.

Our designs encourage people to find beauty in their damage. Sometimes that’s literal, using imagery like broken records or withered flowers, and sometimes ideological, drawing inspiration from concepts like Kintsugi or graffiti, art forms rooted in revealing beauty in broken or overlooked places.

Photoshoot Direction

All of our photoshoots connect back to the brand’s central theme of highlighting the potential for beauty within damage. Whether we’re shooting through the reflections of broken mirrors or in a junkyard filled with broken-down cars, the goal is to remind people that beauty exists everywhere, even in the most unlikely places.

For each collection, I creative direct, shoot and edit videos that highlight brand’s core message, promote the theme of each drop, and show off the clothes.

Events

Throughout the 5 years of running this brand, I have done numerous pop-ups, release parties and collaboration brand events with other brands in NYC and Chicago. This has been a tremendous opportunity to drive sales and reach new audiences.

Additional Experience

Influencers: I’ve worked with a range of influencers by providing free product and paid collaborations to grow brand awareness and reach new audiences. Moving forward, my focus is on building deeper, long-term partnerships with creators whose audiences closely match my target market and who authentically align with the brand’s ethos.

Website Development: I designed and built the Damaged Goods website on Shopify, leading the project from initial concept through launch. By studying best-in-class e-commerce brands, I focused on balancing visual identity with usability and conversion, resulting in a site that effectively supports both the brand and the business.

Damaged Goods Foundation: I created the “Damaged Goods Foundation” that donates 5% of all revenue to the ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America). As the brand and our message grows, we want our impact in the mental health community to as well. In the future, it is our goal to host mental health workshops for people in underserved communities.
